London and Tallinn – Zoo Champs – Sports Guide for Kids for iPad is featured as “New & Noteworthy” in the Education category in the USA, Canada and Australia today and goes Free on the App store worldwide for 24 hours today, Friday August 3.

Can hippos swim? Where does the name for soccer come from? Can the world’s fastest person outrun an ostrich? Why are rowers afraid of catching crabs? Zoo Champs – Sports Guide for Kids for iPad has all the answers with a Dream Team of favorites from hippos to lions demonstrating sports from archery to wrestling.

Designed as an app-book, each page of the app features a different discipline and provides simple animations, fun sound effects, and texts with clear narration. Beautiful and humorous artwork is a stand-out feature of the app, created by an artist who is also an educator. A tap on every page opens an in-depth read-only section full of fun facts and quizzes with rub-to-reveal answers.

“Zoo Champs – Sports Guide for Kids helps parents share this summer’s biggest sports with their children,” says Julia Karmo, one of app’s creators. “It exudes insight and enthusiasm for every sport – judo, synchronized swimming, sailing, fencing, basketball, track and field – you name it! As the whole world is celebrating sport, we’ve decided to make Zoo Champs free to reach as many parents and children as possible.”

Chosen as a top app to get your kids into the Olympic spirit, Zoo Champs pursues the goal of fueling curiosity in children and stimulating further learning.
