Redwood City, California – M.dot, a mobile-first startup based in Redwood City has reached 4,000 published sites in 3 weeks. M.dot is an app for iPhone that lets small business owners and individuals create a mobile optimized website directly from a smartphone.

“Managing a mobile presence for small businesses starts with creating a mobile website. M.dot is the first step in the segment towards helping small businesses be truly mobile and manage their mobile presence from an actual mobile device, no matter where they are,” said Dominik Balogh, CEO of M.dot Inc.

M.dot’s vision is that in the future, most of the traffic and small business discovery will happen on mobile devices and the perception of an online presence will shift. Moreover, users will care less about creating a standard website and will care more about creating a mobile website first.

M.dot is a standalone service where the business owner doesn’t even have to own any website yet. If the user has no existing website, he can create a mobile website from his phone which also displays well on a computer. If the user already has an existing website, M.dot can scrape the pictures and text, let the user fill a predefined mobile template and host it on an m. subdomain.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iOS 4.3 or later
* 8.5 MB
