Not A Basement Studio was started in January 2010 when Ken Luong, Khoa Nguyen and Hieu Tran were getting bored with the university’s curriculum and WoW’s raiding nights. Being avid manga fans, they looked to the App Store for something to cure their boredom. That’s when the idea for their first app came about. After four months of hard work and countless (actually 120) sleepless nights, Manga Rock, a manga reader for the iPhone, was released. Greeted with much love, and hate, the app received close to one million download on the app store. Two years later, joined by more like-minded and passionate people, we are now making awesome apps for the iOS App Store, making life better, one app at a time.
